Musconetcong River

The Musconetcong River flows out of Lake Hopcatcong in Northern New Jersey toward the southwest and enters the Delaware River just below Riegelsville, NJ. Typical paddling trips are from Beattystown to Hampton and Hampton to Bloomsbury. The upper trip has somewhat faster moving water and a several class I+ sections. The lower trip is mostly class I. The river is usually high enough from Fall to Spring several days after a good rain. During the month of November water released from Lake Hopatcong helps to maintain a good flow.
