Atlantic Sea Kayakers ASK is an informal organization of sea kayaking enthusiasts with paddlers located primarily in NJ, NY, PA, DE & MD. Expertise ranges from those totally new to the sport to those with significant knowledge and skills. We label ourselves as a "group" not a "club" because we do not have officers, meetings, rules or regulations. We paddle lakes, creeks, rivers, bays, ocean and surf - daytime and at night, year round, on daytrips and kayak camping trips with overnighters, long weekends and weeklong expeditions. Our trips are generally organized by a member who serves as a contact person to make the arrangements and coordinate the group, but there is no formal leader, no guide and no backup or support. No certification, credentials, or skills are required. Before going on any trip, you must determine for yourself whether the trip plan is safe for you. |

Canoe Sailing Committee of ACA The National Sailing Committee of the American Canoe Association promotes sailing instruction, racing and cruising for decked or open canoes. Touring/camping by sail canoe is also popular with the flexibility to either sail or paddle. Canoe sailing dates back to before 1870 and was a cornerstone in the founding of ACA in 1880 at Lake George, NY. Canoe and kayak paddling have expanded greatly since then, but the novelty and challenge of canoe sailing still provides a unique challenge! If you like canoeing and sailing, you will see that a canoe with its narrow lines offers speed, good upwind performance and maneuverability. We can help you buy a sail and rig or make your own rig. Join us at Spruce Run, Clinton, NJ, or Lake Nockamixon, Quakertown, PA! |

Great Bay Paddlers Members of the Great Bay Paddlers share a common interest in paddling the coastal waters, rivers, creeks, and lakes of New Jersey’s Ocean, Burlington and Atlantic counties. We plan numerous trips throughout the year, hold informal meetings (usually second Friday of the month), and have occasional social events throughout the year. The meetings feature a guest speaker from 7 – 8 PM followed by a short business session. They are open to non-members and guests. Join us at a meeting or on a paddle and see for yourself what we are all about. |
