of the American Canoe Association is holding its

 

4th Upper Delaware River Paddle and Camp Event 

at Landers Campground, Narrowsburg NY

May 9-11

J Camping free to ACA members  J  

non-ACA members welcome but pay regular camping rates ($16/night+$9 site fee)

+ $5 ACA event fee.  (ACA registration $40(I)/$60(F) at www.ACAnet.org or at campgrounds)  

 

ITINERARY  

Friday:  Arrive anytime

Saturday:  Arrive before 9:00

Paddle -     Callicoon - Narrowsburg (14 mi) with playtime at Skinners Falls.

Dinner -     Pot luck (bring a dish).  We’ll set up in the hanger in case of rain. 

 

Sunday: Paddle -    Narrowsburg - Lackawaxen (12.5 mi) including the fun Masthope,

                 Colang and Kunkelli rapids  

 

Families welcome.  Food and camping are on your own.  Open to paddlers of all skill levels. 

Feature: Bring boating items for sale. Will have bulletin board to facilitate selling gear, boats.

Meet your fellow DVD members, enjoy the camaraderie, and participate at no charge courtesy of Lander’s River Trips generous support of ACA.

When: Sunday, May 18, 2008

MEET AT: NEW TOMS RIVER BRIDGE PARKING LOT, IRONS STREET

Entry Fee: $12.00 Per Solo; $22.00 per Tandem; $18.00 Both Open Water; $24.00 Canoe Rental.

FREE TRANSPORTATION FOR YOU & YOUR BOAT TO THE STARTING POINT

PRE-REGISTRATION CLOSES MAY 9, 2008

The Delaware Valley Division holds monthly meetings on the 4th Thurs of each month at 7:15 at the HC Park System Office/Arboretum. Contact Noel Rickert at 609-397-5742 or e-mail to confirm the meeting.

Directions to the arboretum: 

FROM FLEMINGTON: Take route 31 north from the Flemington Circle 5.8 miles. The Arboretum is located at our Administration Building on the northbound side.

FROM CLINTON: Take Route 31 south from I-78 for approximately 4 miles. You will pass the Arboretum on the North Bound Lane. Take the jug handle at Stanton Station Road (approximately 1/4 mile south of the Arboretum) to go North on Route 31. The Arboretum will be 1/4 of a mile on the right.

FROM I-78: Traveling west take Exit 17 (Clinton-Washington) to get onto Route 31 South. Travel south on Route 31 4.6 miles.
Traveling east, take Exit 17 onto Route 31 South 4.6 miles. Follow directions above.
